Digital Marketing Department

The main task of the Digital Marketing Department is to promote published games online. This is handled by experts in such areas as copywriting, social media, performance marketing, community management, and influencer marketing. Their daily work is based on creating creative content which meets the expectations and needs of the audience.

You’re a Copywriter, which means:

You’re a  wordsmith! You combine two passions, an enthusiasm for video games and creating enticing content, and become an expert on the lore and tone of a wide variety of games. You use your skills to communicate in a range of voices and know what is the best way to reach each audience. You also communicate with many departments in the company every day as each project requires some form of copy at every stage. In addition, you’ve got a mean eye for detail—you’re the one who makes sure we’re always looking our best when it comes to external communication, you never let a missing comma or grammatical error get past you!

TIPS:

  • Practice—gain experience in copywriting agencies or companies which specialize in this marketing area
  • Create a portfolio—hone your skills independently and collect your best creations
  • Polish your foreign language skills—a perfect command of English and Polish is essential
  • Play video games and stay up to date on memes—get to know new titles, work out games’ stories, and be aware of what goes on in the gaming community because it’s crucial to know your target audience

You’re a Community Specialist, which means:

You’re a showman in the gaming community! This means you’re great at communicating with other players, solving conflicts, answering questions, and even making other people laugh to tears. Your gaming knowledge is so extensive that you’re able to build an engaged community on such channels as Discord or Reddit. You’re punctual and flexible—the release of a new game sometimes requires unusual working hours, but that’s not a problem for a true Community specialist. 😊

P.S. We nearly forgot—an ironic sense of humor is essential!

TIPS:

  • Play video games—learn to engage the community using your own passion for video games
  • Be inquisitive—follow the video game industry and industry novelties by observing social media activities, reading articles, participating in industry meetings, etc.
  • Polish your foreign language skills—communicating with other players often requires an international attitude and a C1 level of English is essential

You’re a Social Media Specialist, which means:

The world of social media is an open book to you! You start your day by checking industry news, you get inspired and share your passion with others. You have a lot of experience in managing Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and thinking outside the box is part of your daily routine. Have we mentioned that you’re enthusiastic about video games? That should be obvious—after all, your audience also loves the gaming world!

TIPS:

  • Facebook and Twitter—gain experience in managing the two channels as they are crucial in the video game industry.
  • Managing your own social media channel is not enough to make you a specialist—learn to use specific analytical tools and prove your experience with certificates
  • Practice—gain experience in managing social media channels
  • Portfolio—present social media channels managed by you
  • Polish your foreign language skills—communication requires at least a C1 level of English
